The rugs’ unique patina comes from a process developed over years by Miksi, embodying a balance of simplicity with technical excellence and precision. Made by hand from the finest cowhide before an application of acid removes the skin’s hair, the effect of depth and height, dark and light, sparseness and luxury is magnetic. The impression of a natural process at work comes from complex and skilled handling, culminating in a piece which is both elegant and characterful. We use only the highest quality Brazilian cowhides, sourced whenever possible from animals farmed under Pastoreo Racional.
